The Hummer H3 is an SUV or sports application car from Hummer division of Yankee vehicle manufacturer General Motors.  The H3 relies on the same car that also underpins other GM cars like the GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado pickup vans, the GMT355.  The H3 was the first Hummer model manufactured by GM and is also the littlest Hummer model.  The auto is at present assembled and produced in two factories, the Shreveport, Louisiana factory of GM and the Port Elizabeth plant located in south africa.  There are two versions of the H3 now available – the SUV in its traditional midsize and the H3T, the midsize pickup.  It is believed that close to 150,000 units of the H3 have been sold in the united states alone.

The H3 has an in-line 5 front engine with a 3,651 cc 3.7 liters capacity.  The engine features a bore measuring 3.8 inches, a stroke measuring four inches, double overhead cam, 10 compression ratio, four valves per cylinder LLR, and variable valve timing/camshaft.  The four-wheel drive system is a full-time, two-speed, and electronically controlled.  This system makes the car fitting for on-road and off-road driving suitable in all conditions.  Optional features include electronic locking front and back differentials, wiring harness, and a trailer hitch.  In the meantime, the H3T is a crew taxi pickup truck version of the H3 model.  Its bed, which measures 5 feet, positions it between a full-size lorry and a mid-size wagon.

security features of the SUV include anti-lock four-wheel disc brakes, electronic stability control, LATCH child-seat anchor, tire-pressure monitoring, and brake-controlled traction control.  Side-curtain airbags are also standard in all H3s and H3Ts, but was a non mandatory feature until 2008.  The H3’s dimensions for the prevailing 2008 model are 186.7 in ( length ) by 74.7 in ( width ) by 73.2 in ( height, which was shorted by .5 inches compared to the 2005-2007 model ).
